City of Plymouth utility customers have the option of having their payments directly deducted from their checking or savings accounts through the Automatic Pay Plan. You must sign up for the Automatic Pay option. Once you sign up, bill payments will be taken from your bank account and automatically sent to the City. The payment will be deducted from your bank account on the date that the payment is due. There is no charge for the City's Automatic Pay Plan.
Because bills vary, the City will send you an automatic payment statement showing the exact amount deducted from your bank account. The statements from your bank also will show the amount of the deduction.
If you are interested in signing up for the Automatic Pay Plan, complete and return an authorization form and submit a voided check for checking accounts or a deposit ticket for savings accounts to the City along with your current utility bill payment. Depending on when the City receives your authorization form, it could be one to two billing cycles before you are enrolled.
Once you sign up, you should continue to pay your bill as usual, until the words "Automatic Payment Notice" appear on the statement the City sends you. This will tell you that the City has debited the amount shown on the notice from your bank account and that you are on record as an Automatic Pay Plan customer.
If you change banks, complete and return an authorization form (below) with a voided check. If you have questions, call utility billing at 763-509-5333.
If you try Automatic Pay Plan and don't like it, you can cancel your automatic payments at any time by notifying the City in writing.
