Water Main Breaks
If you see water bubbling to the surface in a roadway, it may be a water main break. If you suspect a break, please call the City Water and Sewer Division at the number listed below. After regular business hours, call the Public Safety Dispatcher at 763-525-6210.

The City will investigate the problem and determine if there is a leak in either the public or private service line to the building. If there is a leak in the private service line, the City will notify the property owner to correct the problem. If the leak is in the City system, the City will have it repaired.

Water Main Flushing
To help maintain a high level of water quality, the City of Plymouth typically flushes water mains in the spring and fall. During water main flushing, your water could be rusty and you may have reduced water pressure, but it is more likely on the day crews are flushing your neighborhood. Please avoid doing laundry on that day. If you have discolored water, let your outdoor water faucet run until the water is clear.

Flushing schedules are publicized in the City newsletter, local newspapers and here on the City web site.
