The City of Plymouth annually recognizes indivduals, groups and businesses for their environmental stewardship with the Environmental Champion awards. Plymouth residents, associations, organizations and businesses are eligible for nomination for projects or practices that benefit the environment. Nominations for the 2009 awards are due June 1, 2009.
In the past, individuals have been recognized for litter clean up, maintaining public gardens and creating educational exhibits for school events. Several businesses meeting the nomination criteria (see below) also have earned recognition.
Take a moment to think about special efforts made by a person, organization or business that protect the environment. Self-nominations are accepted. Fill out a nomination form, mail it to address given, and let the City of Plymouth thank them.
